Suzette Dela Cruz Regalo is the Acting Director of the Private Hospitals & NEPT Regulation Branch at the Department of Health in Victoria.

Suzette is a Registered Nurse and holds a Master’s qualification in Health Information Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in International and Community Development (Dual Specialisation). She has prior experience with the World Health Organisation (WHO) as an International Community Development consultant. She has worked extensively as an Operating Theatre Nurse in different public and private health services across the Philippines, New Zealand, and Australia, namely: Alfred Health, Royal Women’s Hospital, and Monash Health in Victoria, and Mater Private Hospital in Queensland, Australia.

Suzette is also a Senior Authorised Officer with a regulatory compliance and enforcement background.

Suzette advocated for systems thinking and is passionate about collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds to find inclusive and sustainable solutions to complex health problems. Outside of work, Suzette enjoys traveling and volunteering on medical-surgical missions.
