Helen became a Registered Nurse in 1975, when she trained at the Mater Hospital in Brisbane. In the 1980’s, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Nursing and Operating Theatre and Recovery certificates.
Following this, she worked predominately in operating theatres for over 20 years in private hospitals and commenced work in Queensland Health’s Private Health Regulation Unit in 1999. She was appointed as an authorised officer under the Private Health Facilities Act 1999 in 2000 and became the Director of the Private Health Regulation Unit in 2015. |
