Marie Sheehan

With over 35 years’ experience in the health care industry, since 2021 I have worked for the Western Australian Dept of Health as a Principal Consultant for the Licensing and Accreditation Regulatory Unit. I am responsible for the regulation and licensing of 6500 beds and 124 private hospitals, nursing posts psychiatric hostels in Western Australia.

Prior to this position, I have worked in Executive Management in the private hospital health care sector for several years and as a Chief Executive Officer / Director of Nursing of Day Hospitals for over 16 years. I have a proven track record of success in the hospital and healthcare industry.

I have been a member of the Day Hospital Association since 2006 and held the position of WA State Chair for DHA from 2009 to 2021. I currently sit on the ACSQHC National Cosmetic Surgery Licensing Working Group for the Western Australian Dept of Health.
