Dr Greenwood has significant expertise in university leadership in the School of Nursing at the University of Tasmania which is built upon clinical expertise in intensive care nursing practice. She has contributed to the exponential growth of the postgraduate nursing program resulting in over 20 specialisations. As the Associate Head for Learning and Teaching she has a leadership portfolio which includes oversight of postgraduate and Bachelor of Nursing degrees and has established strong networks with industry partners.
Dr Greenwood also maintains her connections to clinical practice as an advocate for nursing and has gained a national profile represented by achieving life membership of the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses (ACCCN). She chairs the Education Advisory Panel for ACCCN and is a branch committee member for Tasmania. Her research interests are in health service improvement, particularly in the recognition and response to patient deterioration.
