Andrew Petering

Andrew is a co-founder of Nexus and has been Chief Executive of the group since 2014. Andrew has overseen the development of Nexus into a national health care group encompassing 16 specialist surgical hospitals around Australia.

Andrew is passionate about Nexus delivering innovative and positive change in the private health care sector. Through a culture of collaboration with major stakeholders, Nexus is delivering improved models of care that better serve the interests of patients, doctors and staff, while also providing better value for the overall healthcare system.

Throughout his career, Andrew has served in both executive and non-executive roles across a wide variety of industries. This has reinforced Andrew’s belief that the fundamentals of success are a clear strategy, being nimble to meet market needs, flawless execution and a relentless focus on the customer.

Andrew is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and a member of The Executive Connection. Andrew holds a BEc from the Australian National University and is also the author of an explanatory text on private equity “In the Driver’s Seat”, published in 2013.
