Helen Chalmers has more years of experience in the health sector than Helen would like to admit to, working as CFO, COO and CEO in the UK and Australia.
Helen is the Acting Deputy Chief Executive Policy & Commissioning in the Department for Health and Wellbeing, SA Health. The Division drives community value through the effective commissioning of health services to meet community health needs as well as deliver system strategy and direction.
Before re-joining SA Health in 2017, Helen was the Health Service Chief Executive, Mackay Hospital and Health Service and had been enjoying locum interim roles as a travelling COO / CEO. In the UK Helen was a CFO for a number of years, latterly at UCLH, and left the UK as CEO Kingston Hospital Trust.
Helen also undertakes hospital accreditation for ACHS, is a rural South Australian married to a farmer, with 2 adult sons, and has several Board and trustee roles.
