Eva Naidoo

I currently hold the position of GM/DON at Kogarah Private Hospital, over the past 4 years whilst working in a leadership role at Nexus Hospitals I have explored various disciplines to broaden my own clinical and leadership objectives. By integrating my clinical knowledge and research I have been to develop sustainable resources which will ensure successful results.

Arriving in Australia in 1996 I commenced working at Westmead Public Hospital as an EN in the operating theatre as a perioperative nurse. I went on to complete my Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Notre Dame and have since completed Master of Nursing Management.  Over the past 26 years I have had the opportunity to work in both private and public hospitals across NSW and Queensland gaining extensive experience within the healthcare industry. I am a success driven, visionary, and a highly committed professional leader equipped with a broad background in Perioperative nursing.

I believe that clinical education is not only a fundamental part of nursing excellence but is also the building block of critical thinking and the genesis for future leaders in nursing. In addition to managing Kogarah Private Hospital, I developed the first Nexus Hospital anesthetic program in collaboration with an external provider. We now have 7 participants who will graduate in June 2023. I project managed the first Day Hospital/Short Stay Perioperative Graduate program for Nexus Hospitals which commenced in March this year. The training program is aimed at upskilling the novice nurse providing a skill set that is valuable to a Day Hospital and is the first peri-operative course in Australia to be developed for Day/short stay hospitals.

I am passionate about education and am on an endless journey to produce a platform that is unique and perfectly matched to the industry. I enjoy guiding novice and experienced nurses grow through the process of learning and development in a clinical setting and I believe this is one of the most rewarding experiences anyone can have, to see nurses become excellent clinicians is almost magical!
