Frances Rice commenced as Senior Nursing and Midwifery Advisor to the Commonwealth Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer (CNMO) in the Department of Health and Aged Care in April, 2020. In this role, Frances provides specialist and strategic policy advice to the Executive, the Minister and internal and external stakeholders on complex matters in nursing and midwifery, the health system, health workforce and education issues. Along with the CNMO, she takes a leadership role at national and international levels to build strong and enduring working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Frances has a Bachelor of Nursing Science from James Cook University and a Master of Business Administration from Australian National University.
